Excited to meet in person at the headquarters of our CHSSN partners to kick off a new CIHR Team Grant ($1.5M over 7yrs) on advancing equitable access to healthcare for Quebec English speaking minority communities. I am happy to be a co-investigator on this amazing study and enjoyed the chance to moderate this morning’s first panel session on understanding the challenges of accessing healthcare for underserved English-speaking communities in Quebec. We heard from Derek Montour, Erica Botney and Richard Koesner about the social and structural determinants of health for Indigenous, Black and older adult communities.
