We had a fun and productive co-design session with our community paramedic partners at the Ottawa Paramedic Service. We modified our food insecurity screening and assessment tool for their patient population and will soon be rolling out a 6-month pilot testing phase to test the tool across their catchment area. Community paramedics are the best research collaborators. We are grateful to be working in partnership with them to improve how we identify and address food insecurity in our community.
